We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant with a strong background in billing and purchasing to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have a solid foundation in accounting, with hands-on experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), QuickBooks, and Excel. Experience with Shopify is a must as we operate in an e-commerce environment. You will play a key role in ensuring our financial transactions are accurate and timely as we transition to a new software platform.
Note: This role is focused on back-end operations like billing and purchasing — not customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process invoices, billing, and payment transactions
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable entries and reconciliations
- Use QuickBooks for daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks
- Utilize Excel to maintain and analyze financial data and reports
- Assist in transitioning financial data into the new accounting software
- Process and manage purchase orders, vendor payments, and supplier follow-ups
- Ensure all billing and purchasing records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly documented
- Work closely with the Finance Manager and other departments to maintain smooth operations
Requirements:
- Proven background in accounting or bookkeeping
- Strong experience with QuickBooks
- Strong experience with Excel
- Strong experience with Shopify
- Solid knowledge of billing, purchasing, AP, and AR processes
- Experience working with accounting data migration is a plus
- Experience in an e-commerce or Shopify-based business environment
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software
