Responsibilities

As an Accounting Assistant at Likha, you will play a key role in managing the company's financial records, focusing on Accounts Payable. Your responsibilities will include:

Accounts Payable & Bookkeeping

  • Manage petty cash fund and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
  • Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, and transfer slips, both electronically and manually.
  • Monitor liquidation of cash advances within the required time frame.
  • Issue invoices and receipts accurately and on time.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with the latest accounting standards.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation for Barangay Clearance, Mayor’s Permit, and Business License applications and renewals.
  • Assist with reportorial requirements for government agencies, excluding the BIR.

Audit Support

  • Assist in preparing and submitting detailed audit schedules for both internal and external audits.
  • Monitor legal and bank confirmation replies.

Records Management

  • Maintain organized filing of documents with complete attachments.

Reporting

  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly accounting reports for management.
  • Report any discrepancies, unaccounted funds, or advances to the immediate supervisor.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring the efficient management of Accounts Payable processes.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Preferably with 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of relevant tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and popular accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
