We're Extenteam, a dynamic company revolutionizing the short term vacation rental industry. Our proven business model has generated consistent revenue, and we are now expanding from a professional services model to a scalable tech-based subscription-first model.

As a scaling stage startup, we aim to grow our Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) to double our revenue by January 2026 by providing an AI assisted SaaS platform that works for all short term rental businesses regardless of their size.

Extenteam is on a mission to streamline and support vacation rental businesses by providing top-notch solutions, including guest communication and property management support.

We generate revenue through two primary streams:

• Dedicated Team Members: Providing trained overseas talent with a recurring premium model, replacing one-time recruitment fees.
• Tailwind - SaaS Platform: A guest communication Software blended with our shared services team, supporting smaller operators typically with less than 50 units - helping Extenteam increase profitability while growing our product market fit and expanding TAM and service levels.

Extenteam is a small but mighty team of 50 consisting of Sales, Partner Success, Marketing, HR & Recruiting, Engineering, Product and Admin (IT, Data etc). We are spread out across the world but we have hubs in Miami, LA, Medellin, and actively expanding into Europe. Our 50 people core team is supported by 400+ DTMs (dedicated team members) that are servicing our customers.

Extenteam is looking for Accounting Analyst, who will play a vital role in filling the bookkeeping and accounting of a real estate portfolio. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and industry regulations.

Job Summary:

The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, while ensuring that all transactions and documentation complies with IFRS. This role will also play an integral part in preparation of daily bank reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare daily journal entries by extracting data from SiteLink, mapping to Yardi general ledger (GL) codes and properties, and importing journal entries to Yardi to reflect daily operational results.
• Perform detailed reconciliation of bank accounts with high volume of transactions, while verifying bank deposits and payments, and ensuring that discrepancies are addressed in a timely follow-up action according to corporate standards.
• Work collaboratively with the accounting group to ensure transactions match funds received and sent, while providing rent payment reconciliation support.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, while accurately allocating expenses to multiple accounts and properties per internal policies
• Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial statements and working papers, while ensuring the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy
• Provide support, coordination, address and respond to queries from internal reviewers and auditors, while taking ownership of issues and ensuring a successful resolution
• We are an agile team and embrace additional responsibilities as and when the business need arises

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• 1-3 years of practical experience
• Experience with bank reconciliations with high volume of transactions
• Proficiency in AppFolio and or YARDI
• SiteLink experience is considered an asset
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work with large volume of daily transactions and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, ability to be a self-starter, work independently, while demonstrating excellent organizational and communication skills
