Job Description

As an Accountant (Japanese Bilingual), you will be responsible for preparing and processing bank payment transactions through Microsoft AX, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. We're seeking a candidate who is fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Japanese, as this skill is essential for effective communication and ensuring accuracy in financial processes. You will also reconcile payment entries with bank statements, promptly addressing any discrepancies that arise.

Your Role Unveiled: Key Duties in Accounting

Bank Transactions through Microsoft AX

  • Prepare and process bank payment transactions using Microsoft AX, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile payment entries with bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.

Uploading Files to the Banking Portal

  • Upload financial documents and transaction files to the designated banking portal.
  • Ensure that all uploaded files are correctly formatted and comply with bank requirements.
  • Monitor the status of uploads and address any issues that arise during the process.

Allocating Cash to Customers

  • Apply cash receipts to customer accounts according to invoices and payment terms.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on discrepancies or payment issues.

Processing Payroll

  • Administer payroll processes, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and wages to employees.
  • Handle payroll-related queries and resolve issues related to employee compensation.

Preparing Employees’ Expense Reports

  • Collect, review, and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Verify receipts and documentation, and address discrepancies or missing information.
  • Coordinate with employees to facilitate timely reimbursement and resolve issues related to expense claims.

Invoice Handling

  • Manage the entire invoice lifecycle, from receipt and verification to approval and payment.
  • Ensure that invoices are accurately recorded in the accounting system and matched with purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies or issues with vendors and internal departments.

The Perfect Fit: What You Need to Shine

  • Fluency in Japanese: Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Japanese; proven or certified Japanese Proficiency is highly preferred.
  • Proven Accounting Experience: Demonstrated experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software: Expertise in Microsoft AX or similar accounting software.
  • Knowledge of Japanese Social Security: Basic understanding of Japanese social security is advantageous.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Handling Sensitive Information: Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
