Your Role
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue and gross margin targets established for the region.
- Establish commercial processes to effectively manage sales forecast and prospect pipeline.
- Communicate effectively with commercial colleagues & respective manager
- Develop suitable commercial strategies to effectively position Biomonitoring products for the Microbiological testing markets.
- Develop/enhance key customer relationships to drive revenue growth in Region.
- Evaluate the need for channel structure and optimize the channels by eliminating non-performing distributors
- Identify and develop relationships with key customers to maximize partnership and to drive Biomonitoring products implementing Key Customer commercial agreements.
- Lead negotiation of major contracts.
- Manage sales performance to key business metrics including price targets, revenue volume, gross margin, etc). This includes achieving maximum price based on solution selling and effective product positioning.
- Coordinate with operations and customers to identify potential issues within the supply chain and determine the best course to mitigate and minimize any negative impact.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications in sales or business management are a plus.
- Relevant Work Experience: 3-4 of experience in sales, business development, or commercial management within the biotechnology, life sciences, or microbiological testing industries.
- Proven Sales Experience: Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth within a competitive market.
- Revenue & Margin Management: Strong ability to manage and exceed revenue and gross margin goals through effective product positioning and solution selling strategies.
- Customer Relationship Management: Extensive experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders to drive long-term partnerships and business success.
- Commercial Strategy Development: Expertise in developing and executing commercial strategies to position products effectively within the microbiological testing and biomonitoring markets.
- Sales Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Proven experience in managing sales forecasts, pipeline development, and aligning strategies to meet business objectives and market demands.
- Negotiation & Contract Management: Skilled in negotiating major contracts and implementing key customer commercial agreements, with a focus on profitability and long-term partnerships.
- Channel Development & Optimization: Experience in optimizing distribution channels, including evaluating performance, eliminating non-performing distributors, and maximizing market reach.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including operations, product management, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution of strategies.
- Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with experience addressing supply chain issues and mitigating risks to maintain business continuity.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to executive teams, negotiate with customers, and collaborate across departments.
- Adaptable & Resilient: Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing market conditions, priorities, and challenges, ensuring consistent business growth and success.
