Structured Trade - Associate II - Night

Lead high-impact trade execution and keep critical client deliveries moving through the night. In this role, you'll run end-to-end structured trade operations, manage risk and controls, and coordinate across product, technology, and operations partners to resolve issues fast. You'll also coach a cross-functional team, improve processes, and strengthen incident response and handoffs. As an Assistant Vice President (Associate II) in Trade & Working Capital Operations, Structured Trade, you will lead day-to-day execution of structured trade solutions across receivables and payables, with a strong focus on delivery, risk management, and controls. You will oversee night operations by managing transaction execution, running structured handoffs, and partnering with product and technology teams to resolve incidents and remove blockers. You will also coach the team, improve runbooks and monitoring, and drive process improvements that reduce defects and cycle time.
Job responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end execution of structured trade transactions to meet delivery commitments.
- Partner with product, technology, and middle office teams to triage, escalate, and resolve issues quickly.
- Coach and performance-manage a cross-functional delivery team, setting clear goals, coverage plans, and accountability for night operations.
- Monitor system health, coordinate incident response, and drive root-cause analysis through remediation closure.
- Provide clear status updates, risk and issue escalations, and decision requests to leaders and partners.
- Run structured handoffs to day teams and global partners to ensure continuity and consistent execution.
- Enforce controls, audit readiness, and documentation standards aligned to risk and compliance requirements.
- Identify recurring pain points and improve monitoring, runbooks, and shift processes to reduce defects and cycle time.
- Automate manual steps where possible to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Have 10 years of experience in trade operations and risk-related areas.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of trade products, including payables and receivables loans, payments, standby letters of credit, documentary collections, and bank-to-bank reimbursements.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of United States regulatory requirements relevant to trade, including Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control, anti-boycott, and export controls.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Demonstrate risk-based decision-making and ability to escalate to senior management in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate ability to analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, and influence internal partners to implement change.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines.
- Demonstrate ability to operate effectively in a complex, high-pressure, highly regulated environment supporting high-risk processes.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Hold a Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists certification.
- Demonstrate experience in trade product digitization or automation initiatives.
