The Social Media Officer implements well curated social media content and campaigns leveraging BPI’s corporate narrative to help grow reputation, shape and foster more favorable social media experience and climate of opinion.

Responsibilities

  • Produce effective content that significantly increases reach, relevant engagement, and audience
  • Help the team with effective content management for the bank's social media assets through the regular release of highly relevant, engaging, and viral content on each of the bank's social media platform: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram
  • Identify, develop, and implement initiatives and programs, to help grow reputation, and foster a more favorable social media experience and climate of opinion
  • Proactively research social media trends and best practices
  • Proactively monitor conversations on and outside the bank's official social media channels to churn insights that will help enhance reputation and experience in social media
  • Collaborate with the bank’s different business units to conceptualize and create content relating to their business to increase brand awareness and knowledge
  • Collaborate with writers and multimedia artists to ensure content is informative and engaging
  • Monitor and manage complex and sensitive social media inquiries or posts that may harm the bank's reputation
  • Contribute to the development of social media policies and guidelines and make sure they are implemented/observed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a 4 - year degree from a reputable school (Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations)
  • At least 5 years' work experience in content and community management experience and strategic thinking
  • Proven track record in content management, marketing, digital marketing, social media management
  • Background in financial services, retail banking or any industry dealing with known customers, including the management thereof
  • Ideally from industries such as financial products/services, retail, or fast-moving consumer goods
  • Preferably in the areas of traditional/digital marketing, sales, branch banking or business development, customer service, project management, business transformation
  • Knowledgeable in Account Management/Business Partnering Ways of Working, Business Case Writing, and Customer Relationship Management
  • Familiarity with Bank/Financial Institution Products and Services
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to think creatively and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Updated on Industry / Market trends and competition
