Title: Senior Procurement Officer (Responsible Sourcing)
The Senior Buyer (Responsible Sourcing) will oversee supplier management and procurement activities to ensure ESG and responsible sourcing practices are applied across global and local suppliers. This includes managing key databases, engaging in stakeholder management, and supporting project and supplier management activities related to responsible sourcing. The role requires in-depth research, market scan, analysis of suppliers’ sustainability data, and alignment with procurement strategies. The Buyer will also support the Global Category Managers (GCM) to ensure smooth implementation of sustainability initiatives and supplier engagement activities.

Job Qualifications
The Senior Buyer (Responsible Sourcing) will oversee supplier management and procurement activities to ensure ESG and responsible sourcing practices are applied across global and local suppliers. This includes managing key databases, engaging in stakeholder management, and supporting project and supplier management activities related to responsible sourcing. The role requires in-depth research, market scan, analysis of suppliers’ sustainability data, and alignment with procurement strategies. The Buyer will also support the Global Category Managers (GCM) to ensure smooth implementation of sustainability initiatives and supplier engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management for Responsible Sourcing
- Manage sustainability-related activities for all suppliers, ensuring adherence to JFC’s Responsible Sourcing standards and alignment with commitments in our Sustainability Agenda
- Maintain databases on assigned scope of key sourcing categories (e.g., beef, poultry & eggs, dairy, packaging, or coffee), frequently updating spend data and ensuring surveys and documentation are completed
- Ensure suppliers acknowledge the JFC Supplier Code of Conduct, acquire the relevant certifications, and contribute to baselining activities for integration into Ivalua or any designated system
Stakeholder and Internal Alignment
- Manage internal stakeholders and coordinate responsible sourcing initiatives with the Global Category Managers (GCM).
- Analyze and present data on sourcing activities to provide recommendations based on sustainability commitments.
- Prepare materials for internal alignment meetings, including regular reporting to the Procurement Global Category Management (GCM)
Supplier Engagement and Project Management
- Lead supplier engagement on responsible sourcing initiatives, e.g., supplier councils, technical roundtables, etc., focusing on improving sharing best practices and supplier compliance with JFC’s sustainability agenda.
- Collaborate with GCMs to define and manage project timelines (RACI) to implement sustainability projects.
- Support supplier management processes including scorecards, accreditation, and performance review to ensure high standards of compliance.
Regulatory and Competitive Research
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal JFC public affairs, legal and compliance teams on government regulations/legislation, required certifications
- Conduct industry-peer benchmarking regarding sustainable sourcing best practices (e.g., cage-free eggs, responsible antibiotics use, animal welfare, deforestation, etc.).
- Provide insights and prepare reports on sustainable sourcing trends in operating countries to support decision-making.
- Present findings to internal teams and stakeholders to support negotiations and strategic sourcing decisions.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure supplier compliance with JFC’s Supplier Code of Conduct, managing risk assessments and corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with the Global Sustainability team to ensure sourcing practices align with compliance and risk management protocols.
- Maintain tools for monitoring supplier risks related to Responsible Sourcing for assigned category
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability (preferred) or a related field.
- 2 years in procurement or responsible sourcing, ideally with experience managing supplier relationships in a global context.
- Prior experience in sustainable sourcing practices, supplier engagement, and risk management.
- Must be willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig (Hybrid Work Setup).
