The Senior Permitting Officer is responsible for leading and managing all regulatory permitting activities, ensuring full compliance with national and local government requirements. This role requires deep expertise in both Local Government Unit (LGU) permitting processes and environmental compliance regulations, including coordination with government agencies and stakeholders. The position plays a critical role in securing permits, minimizing regulatory risks, and supporting project timelines across multiple developments.

- Lead end-to-end permitting processes, including planning, application, tracking, and approval of all required permits.
- Develop and implement permitting strategies aligned with project timelines and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely acquisition and renewal of permits, licenses, and clearances from LGUs and national agencies.
- Manage and process permits with LGUs, including but not limited to:
- Zoning Clearance
- Locational Clearance
- Building Permit
- Occupancy Permit
- Business Permit
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with LGU officials and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor changes in local ordinances and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Facilitate environmental permitting requirements, including:
- Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC)
- Certificate of Non-Coverage (CNC)
- Permit to Operate (PTO)
- Discharge Permit
- Hazardous Waste Registration and compliance
- Coordinate with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and other relevant agencies.
- Ensure adherence to environmental laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Support environmental audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring.
- Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies, consultants, and internal project teams.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, legal, and project management teams to ensure alignment on permit requirements.
- Represent the organization in regulatory discussions, meetings, and site inspections.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all permits, applications, and approvals.
- Track permit status, deadlines, and compliance obligations.
- Prepare reports and updates on permitting progress and risks.
- Identify potential permitting risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure proactive resolution of compliance issues to avoid project delays or penalties.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
- At least 5–8 years of experience in permitting, with strong exposure to both LGU processes and environmental compliance.
- Proven experience handling DENR and LGU permitting requirements.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine regulatory frameworks, environmental laws, and local ordinances.
- Excellent stakeholder management and government liaison experience.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
