As a Senior Accountant you are expected to:
- Deliver accurate and timely month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis
- Oversee accounts payable, disbursements, reimbursements, and expense management.
- Handle finance offshore processes such as but not limited to fund transfers and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial accounts, schedules, journals, and account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit requests
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all assigned processes
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and support business reviews with relevant insights
- Resolve system and process queries, supporting global teams as needed
- Contribute to process improvement and transformation initiatives
- Participate in remote knowledge transfer and support standardization across countries
Requirements
- Strong financial accounting foundation with ability to apply principles to new areas
- Knowledge of VAT and Withholding Tax filings
- Knowledge of preparation of books of accounts
- Clear and effective communication skills (verbal & written)
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in large or offshore teams
- Adaptability and a transformational mindset
- Experience with accounting software
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Experience in R2R, OPEX, fixed assets, intercompany or revenue accounting
Nice to have:
- CPA License
- Familiarity with reporting tools (Blackline, Tableau, Power BI, SmartView, QlikView)
- Exposure to internal/external audits and SOX compliance
- Background in process standardization or automation initiatives
