Who We Need:

we are looking for a risk ops analyst to ensure robust aml/cft compliance, risk management, and regulatory adherence in alignment with mas regulations and internal policies for our client. the role involves executing supporting merchant onboarding, due diligence, risk assessments, transaction monitoring, and acting as liaison for audits including and not limited to support data extraction and periodic reporting.

What You'll Do
1. Risk Assessment and Mitigation

  • conduct thorough kyc and cdd checks for onboarding

  • resolve alerts and level 1 findings, and escalate per policies and procedures

  • assist with transaction monitoring activities

2. Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering (aml), know-your-customer (kyc), and data privacy laws.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify and address any non-compliance issues, as directed.

3. Fraud Prevention

  • Support in fraud prevention strategies, including resolving of alerts from monitoring systems
  • Investigate and analyze fraudulent transactions to identify patterns and improve prevention measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance fraud detection and prevention capabilities.

4. Operational Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks that could impact the company's business operations, financial performance, or reputation.
  • Support and maintain business continuity plans to ensure resilience in the face of disruptions.
  • Assist to provide guidance and training for relevant processes.
  • Assist with fostering a culture of risk awareness and compliance within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications: What You Need:

  • Minimum Diploma in Business/Accounting or any relevant discipline.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in kycaml or a similar role within the payments and banking industry.
  • Strong understanding of cdd principles and methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., aml, kyc, pci dss). acam/ ica Certification preferrable.
  • Experience with transaction monitoring &/or screening tools and techniques.
  • Meticulous with good critical thinking skills and ability to see the bigger picture
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Team player but comfortable working independently.
