We're Smartsourcing, and we're looking for a Rate & Contract Analyst to support the management of our Contract Catalog—the centralized repository for carrier contracts, rates, pricing schedules, and SCAC data. In this role, you'll ensure records are accurately loaded, consistently maintained, and governed through effective version control and data management practices—helping support reliable pricing, compliance, and operational decision-making across the business.

The Rate & Contract Analyst plays a critical role in supporting audit accuracy, reducing unaudited spend, and
ensuring contract and rate information remains current, accessible, and aligned with operational requirements. Working closely with auditors, carriers, and internal stakeholders, the role supports the continuity of automated audit processes through disciplined catalog administration, issue resolution, and data quality management.

Role Overview
The Rate & Contract Analyst plays a critical role in supporting audit accuracy, reducing unaudited spend, and
ensuring contract and rate information remains current, accessible, and aligned with operational requirements. Working closely with auditors, carriers, and internal stakeholders, the role supports the continuity of automated audit processes through disciplined catalog administration, issue resolution, and data quality management.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Catalog Governance & Data Integrity
- Maintain ownership of the Contract Catalog and ensure data remains complete, accurate, and current.
- Apply version control standards and maintain structured repository governance.
- Standardize file naming conventions and directory structures.
- Retire expired, superseded, or invalid contracts according to established processes.
- Perform periodic validation checks to ensure catalog integrity.
- Load, update, and maintain carrier contracts, rates, and related documentation.
- Process customer-issued contract amendments and rate changes.
- Validate contract information before publication within the catalog.
- Maintain accurate SCAC alignment and contract associations.
- Ensure updates are completed within agreed turnaround times.
- Support internal audit activities by ensuring contract and rate information is available and accurate.
- Coordinate with auditors and external carriers to obtain missing documentation.
- Investigate and resolve verifier application issues affecting audit processing.
- Escalate unresolved data quality concerns appropriately.
- Maintain continuity of the automated audit pipeline.
- Develop, maintain, and improve catalog administration procedures and documentation.
- Document version-control practices, governance requirements, and operational standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve catalog maintenance processes.
- Support implementation of process enhancements and best practices.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready records.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Management, Information Management, or related field
- Experience managing data repositories, catalogs, contract records, pricing databases, master data, or document management systems with a demonstrated focus on accuracy and data integrity
