What You’ll Do

The QA NPI Engineer ensures that new products are introduced into manufacturing with robust quality controls, validated processes, and compliant documentation. This role partners closely with NPI Engineers, R&D, Process Engineering, Production, and Suppliers to secure a smooth and efficient product launch (PRO-Launch).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead quality activities during New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Conduct product and process qualification (FAI, validation, sample builds).
  • Review and approve Control Plans, PFMEA, SOPs, BOM’s and quality requirements.
  • Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and coordinate sample builds
  • Support line readiness, pilot builds, and early mass production quality monitoring.
  • Identify critical process parameters and ensure proper monitoring/controls.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions (8D, 5 Why).
  • Ensure NPI products comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Communicate quality risks and project status to stakeholders


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in QA, NPI, manufacturing, or process engineering.
  • Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, CA/PA, PPAP, APQP).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills.
