The Project Engineer plans, coordinates, and delivers assigned engineering and construction projects from concept through commissioning and post-implementation review. The role partners with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., operations, quality, safety, procurement, and external contractors) to ensure projects are executed on time, within approved budget, and in full compliance with engineering standards, SHE requirements, and applicable regulations.

What You'll Be Responsible For

The Project Engineer reports to the Innovations and Technology Manager (or equivalent).

The role works closely with cross-functional teams across production/operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, SHE, finance, procurement, and external contractors/suppliers to deliver projects safely and effectively.

  • Project planning & delivery: Develop and maintain project plans (scope, milestones, schedule, resources) and manage execution to deliver OTIF outcomes.
  • Technical risk management: Support technical risk assessment discussions with stakeholders (operations, R&D, quality) and represent Engineering in Technical Risk Assessment (TRA) to ensure actions are tracked to closure.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial) or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer license or relevant certification is an advantage (where applicable).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); exposure to project planning tools (e.g., MS Project / Primavera P6) and CAD tools for design review (e.g., AutoCAD/Revit) is an advantage.

Essential

  • 2-3 years of project engineering experience in FMCG, manufacturing, construction, or related industries (flexible based on capability and project complexity).
  • Exposure to project delivery across design, execution, commissioning, and handover; contractor coordination and site supervision.
  • Budget tracking and capex governance experience (estimating, forecasting, spend control, and reporting).

Preferred / Desirable

  • Experience delivering equipment installation/start-up using ICMS EEM practices.
  • Experience with FAT/SAT management and structured punch list closure.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and permitting (as applicable).
