Essential Job Skills/Duties
- Leads and manages people through monitoring of issues on terms of attendance, behaviour, performance, and ensuring resources are available in order to support operation's requirements.
- Attends to line issues, coordinates and collaborates with team across functions; escalates issues when necessary and communicates updates to the team.
- Conducts line audit to ensure compliance to standard operating procedure.
- Prepares reports and other communication materials pertaining to performance achievements and identify areas for improvement.
- Participates in projects to maintain competitiveness and ensures continuous improvement.
- Drives performance through effective coaching, counselling, mentoring and training.
- Responsible for the individual development of team members.
- Coaches team members on their performance; writes and delivers performance appraisal on a regular basis.
- Enforces discipline in compliance to company rules and regulations in order to promote Asurion core values and ensure that applicable rules and regulations are understood and implemented.
- Motivates team members through rewards and recognition of achievements.
Required Technical Skills
- Manufacturing line operations and standard work.
- Root cause analysis and problem solving tools.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and escalation.
- Production scheduling and takt management.
- Quality systems and defect containment.
- Safety procedures and incident response.
- Clear, timely verbal and written communication.
- Calm decision-making under time pressure.
- Team coaching and performance feedback.
- Conflict resolution and professionalism.
- Accountability with continuous improvement focus.
- Graduate of 4 or 5-year course, preferably Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in operations of manufacturing industry.
- At least 2 years people of people-handling experience.
- Associate degree in technical field.
- Experience with lean or Six Sigma practices.
- Experience in high-volume production environments.
- Directly supervises frontline production staff.
- Participates in hiring, onboarding, and scheduling.
- Travels: As business needs require.
