Process Engineer 1

A Process Engineer 1 is responsible for the optimization of productivity by implementing and testing new procedures. The Process Engineer owns and maintains process documents and oversees and assesses the current processes and workflows against specification.

Puts in place a set of process standards, procedures and specifications for the processes in operations, for example, WI, JA, Specs, OCAP, FMEA, TCN.

• Monitors process performance on yield, impact and reliability that affect the committed output of Supply Chain. Guarantees that the operational processes are within the defined capacity and that qualification is in place to test process during a major downtime event.
• Provides guidance to a small number of technicians during sustaining or evaluation activities.
• Analyzes operational issues and recommends a solution for simple to moderate problems within area of responsibility utilizing problem solving tools such as RCA, CAPAR, 8D, 7QC charts etc.
• Engages with Advanced Engineering for the anticipation of new technologies
• Delivers the technical leadership on a project assigned and the coordination of milestones to key resources and stakeholders.
• Collaborates within the organization and with external suppliers through Quality Engineering and Procurement for product criteria, yield performance and insights on technology gaps.
• Executes the launch of the new models/products.
• Support Warehouse activities and initiatives
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
  
  

Qualifications:

• College graduate of any of the following courses: BS MSE/ChE/ECE/EE/Physics/ME/Electro-mechatronics
• Anodizing/PVD – Chemical Engineering/Material Science Engineering/Physics
• Other Processes – ECE/ME/EE/Electro-Mechatronics
• Application of the basic engineering concepts and techniques to operations.
• Hands-on experience in product and process engineering from major OEM companies.
• Knowledge on the use of various statistical tools and other continuous improvement methodologies such as but not limited to process capability, design of experiment, correlation etc.
• Builds process design through SPC and new product introduction

• Problem Solving – PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, 7QC Tools (Why Why, Fishbone)
• Project Management/ Change Management/ Risk Management
• Technical Writing and Presentation Skills
• Organizing, Analytical and Creative thinking skills
• Mathematical and statistical process control (SPC tools) – Introduction to Statistical Methods, FMEA, control plan, OCAP, Minitab, Error proofing
• Knowledge of standard (ISO, IMS etc)
• Measurement System Analysis
• DOE (Shainin, Full Factorial, Fractional Factorial, Taguchi, ANOVA)

• Per Process Expertise: glass, board, buffing, sanding, parts, anodizing, PVD, Radio Frequency
