The role
The Private Equity Real Estate Analyst supports the evaluation and execution of real estate investment opportunities. The role involves financial modeling, market research, and due diligence to assess potential acquisitions and developments. The analyst works closely with senior investment, asset management, and finance teams to prepare investment materials, support deal execution, and monitor the performance of portfolio assets.

The role
The Private Equity Real Estate Analyst supports the evaluation and execution of real estate investment opportunities. The role involves financial modeling, market research, and due diligence to assess potential acquisitions and developments. The analyst works closely with senior investment, asset management, and finance teams to prepare investment materials, support deal execution, and monitor the performance of portfolio assets.
Your Responsibilities
Investment Analysis & Due Diligence
- Build financial models and perform sensitivity analyses for potential real estate investments.
- Conduct market research, including inventory, absorption rates, new developments, and rental/vacancy trends.
- Review confidential investment documents (CIMs, appraisals, condition assessments, environmental reports).
- Support the full investment process, from deal sourcing to closing.
- Prepare investment memorandums and presentations for the investment committee.
- Assist in negotiations with lenders and investors, analyzing capital structures and cash flow scenarios.
- Track and report on the financial performance of portfolio properties.
- Maintain detailed financial models for acquisitions and development projects.
- Analyze rent rolls, sales data, and other property-level metrics to provide actionable insights.
- Draft clear investment summaries and recommendations.
- Prepare materials for internal meetings, investor presentations, and lender discussions.
- Collaborate with senior team members to present and defend findings.
- Keep up-to-date on real estate market trends, economic indicators, and best practices.
- Conduct property visits and engage with brokers to gather market intelligence.
- Adapt to new analytical tools and technologies to improve investment decision-making.
- Work closely with investment, asset management, and finance teams.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Coordinate due diligence and closing processes with internal teams and external parties.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, real estate, or related analytical field. Strong academic performance and quantitative skills required.
- 1–3 years of experience in real estate investment banking, private equity, acquisitions, or finance, including exposure to financial analysis and deal execution.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Solid understanding of real estate finance, capital markets, and various asset classes.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently on complex projects while contributing to team goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reports and presentations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
