Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
The Marketing and Communications Officer II crafts and executes robust marketing and communication strategies aimed at amplifying the University's international initiatives, fostering engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders, and bolstering Ateneo de Manila’s global standing. The position is responsible for enhancing the University’s global visibility and nurturing international partnerships.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Strategic Communication and Content Creation
- Develops and executes strategic communication plans that emphasize the role of internationalization and collaboration vis-à-vis the University’s strategic objectives and goals, subject to the review and endorsement of the University Marketing and Communications Office (UMCO) to ensure compliance with University branding guidelines
- Plans, designs, and manages the creation of high-quality content, including articles, press releases, newsletters, brochures to showcase the OAVP-UPI’s key projects, events, initiatives, etc.
- Conceptualizes, creates, and edits communique/s to and for various audiences, both internal and external, ensuring that information is communicated in an effective and efficient manner
- Coordinates with diverse stakeholders to align marketing and communication strategies effectively across multiple channels and platforms
- Designs and develops graphic and visual materials that strategically enhance the OAVP-UPI’s marketing and public relations objectives, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and communication strategies
- Manages the organization and storage of marketing and communication resources and materials, ensuring they are systematically documented, securely stored, and easily accessible for current and future use.
II. Public Relations and Social Media Management
- Oversees the creation and management of content for the office's social media platforms, including updating the website, posting on social media, and executing email campaigns to enhance the OAVP-UPI's online presence and engagement with stakeholders subject to the review and endorsement of the University Marketing and Communications Office (UMCO) to ensure compliance with University branding guidelines
- Composes and compiles media and press releases for events and academic milestones, adhering to approved official messaging and information
- Crafts and implements a comprehensive social media plan and strategy, continually monitoring its efficacy to align with target audiences and engagement objectives
III. Marketing Collaterals and Merchandise
- Conceptualizes and proposes digital and/or printed marketing collaterals and merchandise to support and promote the goals of the OAVP-UPI, including items like posters, newsletters, brochures, and various apparel
- Manages the design, development and production of fundamental marking materials using available in-house resources and collaborates with external service providers for more intricate production needs, emphasizing cost- effectiveness and operational efficiency
- Ensures the alignment of designs of all produced materials and marketing collaterals with existing University policies, standards, and brand guidelines subject to the review and endorsement of UMCO and University Data Protection Office (UDPO)
IV. Performs other work-related tasks as may be required by the immediate supervisor and authorized representative
Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience Requirements:
- With a Bachelor's Degree in Development Communications, Marketing, -or a related field
- With a specialization in International Relations, Cultural Studies, Event Management is an advantage
- With at least 3 years experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in the higher education sector or international contexts
- Proficiency in multiple languages is an advantage
