The Logistics Officer is responsible for overseeing the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of products. The role ensures timely delivery, accurate inventory control, and cost-effective logistics operations while maintaining strong coordination with internal teams, warehouses, and third-party logistics providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Operations Management
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily logistics activities including inbound and outbound shipments
- Ensure timely delivery of products to warehouses, dealers, and customers
- Track shipments and resolve delays or issues proactively
Warehouse & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse teams on stock receiving, storage, and dispatch
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy of stock records
- Support stock replenishment planning and minimize stock discrepancies
Transportation & Delivery Management
- Coordinate with transport providers and 3PL partners for delivery scheduling
- Optimize routes and delivery timelines to ensure operational efficiency
- Monitor delivery performance and implement improvements when needed
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and process logistics documents such as delivery receipts, invoices, and shipment records
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logistics records and reports
Cost Monitoring & Process Improvement
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels
- Support initiatives for warehouse and delivery optimization
6Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Demand Planning, Procurement, and Customer Service teams
- Provide updates on delivery status and address logistics-related concerns
- Support logistics requirements for new projects, expansions, or campaigns
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 2–3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain
- Experience in FMCG, retail, or appliance industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of logistics operations, inventory management, and distribution processes
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NERP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Willing to travel or visit warehouse sites if required
