JOB DESCRIPTION

You will partner with stakeholders across a matrixed global organization and help drive sustainable risk mitigation. You will gain exposure to enterprise control programs and develop skills that support long-term career growth in risk and controls.

As an Associate in the Proactive Control Risk Monitoring team within Human Resources Control Management, you will execute risk monitoring and control testing activities that help assess control design and operating effectiveness. You will produce clear reporting that communicates objectives, methodology, and results to senior stakeholders and control partners.
You will collaborate across functions to escalate issues appropriately and support continuous improvement of the Human Resources control profile.

Job responsibilities
  • Execute risk monitoring and support timely delivery of the Human Resources controls monitoring and testing program across lines of business, locations, and risk types.
  • Perform independent sustainability assessments for closed operational issues, including root cause analysis and evaluation of mitigation effectiveness.
  • Partner with control and business stakeholders to develop sustainable, strategic risk and control mitigation actions.
  • Assess control design and monitor control operating effectiveness and related processes for alignment to applicable obligations and requirements.
  • Draft testing documentation and reports that clearly communicate objectives, methods, and results to senior management and control partners.
  • Perform quality review of testing work and facilitate calibration sessions to drive consistency across the team.
  • Build partnerships with Human Resources leaders in a matrixed environment and serve as a point of contact for testing questions and escalations.
  • Identify, escalate, monitor, and track control monitoring results in line with firmwide control programs and reporting expectations.
  • Coordinate with control management and other testing teams globally and support ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with partner functions (for example, compliance, legal, regulatory, and audit) to support the broader Human Resources control profile and programs.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance, monitoring, controls, or audit-related work (operations, Human Resources, or similar).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, organizational development, or a related field.
  • Experience performing independent control evaluations, including root cause analysis and validation of remediation sustainability.
  • Ability to partner with control owners and stakeholders in a matrixed functional, regional, and global environment.
  • Experience assessing control design and/or control operating effectiveness against defined requirements.
  • Intermediate SharePoint experience and experience using quality, controls, or audit tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing clear testing documentation and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and escalate issues in a timely manner, while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills, including qualitative and quantitative problem solving and structured investigation of root causes.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated and process-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and lead through partnership without direct reporting authority.
