Opportunity Overview

As a Hardware Engineer, you will support the reliability, performance, and lifecycle sustainability of complex hardware systems. This role focuses on analyzing field and production issues, driving root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, serviceability, and customer satisfaction.

  • Perform hardware failure analysis for returned products, production issues, field failures, and customer-reported concerns using structured problem-solving methods.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities to improve product reliability, reduce repeat failures, and strengthen overall quality performance.
  • Support sustaining engineering changes, including component evaluation, alternate part qualification, design updates, documentation updates, and obsolescence management.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, repair, quality, and field support teams to resolve technical issues, improve diagnostics, and enhance test and repair processes.
  • Provide technical guidance for customer or field escalations, including containment planning, failure trend analysis, and follow-through on corrective and preventive actions.

You are a practical and analytical hardware engineering professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems and improving product performance. You apply sound engineering judgment, use data to guide decisions, and work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in hardware engineering, sustaining engineering, reliability engineering, product support, test engineering, or a related role.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting, board-level diagnostics, failure analysis, test methods, and component-level investigation.
  • Knowledge of structured problem-solving and quality methods such as root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, 5-Why, 8D, FRACAS, or similar approaches.
  • Working knowledge of schematic review, PCB design concepts, component selection, bill of materials management, lifecycle planning, and applicable product compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical thinking, clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, and commitment to product quality and customer success.
