About The Role

As Guidance Officer, you will work closely with students, families, school staff and community partners to support wellbeing, engagement and educational success.

This role requires a proactive and compassionate practitioner who can build trust, navigate complex situations and contribute to positive outcomes for students.

You Will

• Provide guidance and counselling services to support student wellbeing, engagement and learning.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with students, families, staff and community members.
• Work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, wellbeing staff and external agencies.
• Support culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches across the school.
• Contribute to inclusive practices that enable every student to participate, progress and succeed.
• Manage a professional caseload, applying sound judgement, confidentiality and ethical practice.
• Use effective communication and problem-solving skills to support students experiencing barriers to learning.
