Retail Store Manager, Livestock Supply, Lethbridge County, AB

Hours: Full-time, Permanent Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays

Start Date: Immediate

Salary Range: $70 - 80K per annum

The Role:

As store manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping the store running smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the retail store by staying abreast of store performance and functioning
  • Leading, scheduling and supporting a small team of 5-6 staff members
  • Be an example of integrity, honesty and good work ethic
  • Do supply ordering
  • Delivering friendly, knowledgeable and professional service to customers and suppliers, in person and over the phone
  • Assist staff with idea generation and problem solving
  • Oversee the onboarding of new staff and uphold company policies
  • Handling daily store administration tasks with strong attention to financials
  • Ensure a well-organized, welcoming and professional store environment
  • Processing front counter sales and balancing the till at end of day when needed

General Manager

Canadian Cooperative Wool Growers Limited

Carleton Place, ON

Hours: Full-time, Permanent Monday - Friday, with occasional travel

Start Date: Immediate

Salary Range: $95 - 100K per annum

The Role:

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Act as primary spokesperson for the Co-operative at industry meetings, by answering phone calls, and initiating or responding to email communications.
  • Oversee the retail business by staying abreast of store performance and functioning
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff
  • Assist with idea generation and problem solving
  • Oversee the onboarding of new staff and uphold company policies
  • Handle communications with bankers and lenders, shareholders, retail managers, and board of directors
  • Team up with the lead accountant to oversee the financial performance of the Co-operative
  • Prepare and present profit/loss reports and annual budget
  • Ensure accurate financial records and reports are being generated by the accounting team in time to facilitate year end auditing processes
  • Participate in regular board meetings. Address minor operational concerns, and communicate with the board of directors on major concerns and decision making
  • Develop business strategies that bolster the Co-operative and are profitable
  • Be an example of integrity, honesty and good work ethic
