The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in the general ledger. The role ensures proper recording of accounting transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and timely preparation of financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in the general ledger. The role ensures proper recording of accounting transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and timely preparation of financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, record, and maintain general ledger entries accurately and timely.
- Post journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements and audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Coordinate with other departments to verify and support financial transactions.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in accounts and financial records.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities as needed.
- Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or any related field.
- Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), but not required.
- At least 13 years of experience in general accounting or general ledger function.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Willing to work in Pasig City.
