As a Declarant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation, submission, and processing of customs declarations in compliance with all applicable customs laws and regulations, facilitating the smooth clearance of goods while minimizing delays, penalties, and compliance risks.

Educational Background
You have a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, Customs Management, or a related field.
You have a professional certification or training in Customs Declaration / Customs Brokerage (from a recognized customs authority or accredited institution) is required or highly preferred.
Professional Experience
You have a minimum of 2–5 years relevant experience as a Customs Declarant, Customs Broker, or similar trade compliance role and with proven experience in preparing and submitting import and export declarations using electronic customs systems.

As a Declarant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation, submission, and processing of customs declarations in compliance with all applicable customs laws and regulations, facilitating the smooth clearance of goods while minimizing delays, penalties, and compliance risks.
What You’ll Do (your Mission)
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate import and export customs declarations in accordance with customs laws and regulations.
- Classify goods correctly using the Harmonized System (HS) codes and determine applicable duties, taxes, and fees.
- Compile, verify, and maintain all required shipping and customs documentation (invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, permits, licenses, etc.).
- Advise internal teams or clients on customs requirements, documentation, and regulatory changes.
- Calculate and arrange payment of customs duties, taxes, and related charges.
- Maintain accurate records of declarations and supporting documents in line with legal retention requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in customs laws, tariff schedules, and trade agreements.

- Ability to interpret and apply customs regulations accurately
- Ability to communicate clearly with customs officials and clients
- Ability to manage multiple declarations simultaneously
- Ability to resolve clearance issues efficiently and professionally
- Valid Customs Declarant License issued by the relevant national customs authority (mandatory).
- Certification in Customs Declaration / Customs Brokerage from a recognized or accredited institution.
- Ongoing compliance with license renewal and continuing professional development (CPD) requirements as prescribed by customs regulations.
