Data Operations Lead
JPMorganChase
Be at the forefront of a transformation agenda where data, strategy, and operational excellence meet
Job Summary:
As a Data Operations Associate or Vice President in Securities Services Operations for the Asia Pacific region, you sit at the intersection of data, strategy, and operational execution to identify opportunities and deliver measurable impact. You partner with operations teams that own their processes and data, serving as an analytical enabler who frames opportunities, defines success metrics upfront, and tracks benefits over time. You deliver dashboards and management reporting that communicate the “what,” the “so what,” and clear recommendations.
Job responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to identify trackable opportunities to improve performance, reduce cost, or mitigate risk
- Define success measures and benefits-tracking approaches upfront so impact can be monitored and reported with credibility
- Build and enhance dashboards, visualizations, and management reporting focused on usability, actionability, and clear recommendations
- Produce and maintain non-financial key performance indicators and recurring reporting that supports timely decisions
- Automate analytics workflows and improve data pipeline efficiency to reduce manual effort and increase scalability
- Use tools such as SQL, Python, Alteryx, and Tableau to create reproducible, well-documented analytical outputs
- Partner with operations, technology, and business leaders to clarify decision needs, ask strong questions, and deliver insights that enable action
- Lead analytics initiatives end-to-end by scoping work, building delivery plans, managing dependencies, and maintaining cadence
- Manage risks, issues, and escalations with clear ownership through resolution and transparent stakeholder communication
- Monitor data quality indicators, flag issues early, and support root-cause analysis and remediation planning with process owners
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Five years of experience in financial services, ideally within securities services, operations, or a related function
- Advanced analytical capability, including translating complex problems into structured plans and measurable outputs for senior audiences
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and integration with reporting outputs
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or an equivalent business intelligence platform
- Experience using Alteryx for workflow automation or experience working in a Git-based development environment
- Exposure to generative artificial intelligence, large language models, or machine learning methods applied to business or operational analytics
- Proven program and project management experience, including scoping, planning, risk and dependency management, and benefits tracking
- Experience partnering with process-owning operations teams on data quality monitoring and issue identification
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including executive-ready narratives and stakeholder management
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience supporting Asia Pacific markets or a regional operations or strategy role in a global organization
- Familiarity with securities services products such as custody, fund services, clearing, or collateral management
- Experience contributing to data governance or data quality programs at scale
