About the Rookie Program
The CX Insights Rookie (Qualitative Research) will support the Customer Experience & Insights team in understanding customer behaviors, needs, and motivations through qualitative research. This Rookie Program provides hands-on experience in designing and executing research studies, synthesizing customer feedback, and translating insights into meaningful recommendations that help shape GoTyme's products and customer experience.
Throughout the Rookie Program, you'll collaborate with researchers and cross-functional teams while gaining practical exposure to qualitative research methodologies, customer interviews, focus group discussions, and ethnographic studies.
What You'll Do
Qualitative Research Support
- Assist in preparing discussion guides, recruitment screeners, and research materials.
- Support the coordination of in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), and ethnographic studies.
- Observe or assist in facilitating research sessions while documenting key observations and participant feedback.
- Help coordinate research logistics and timelines.
Research Analysis & Insight Generation
- Assist in transcribing interviews and organizing qualitative research data.
- Support thematic coding to identify recurring customer themes and insights.
- Help prepare research summaries, reports, and presentations.
- Contribute to synthesizing research findings into actionable business recommendations.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Participate in planning sessions, team meetings, and project discussions.
- Work closely with Product, Design, Customer Service, and other business teams.
- Support the maintenance of research documentation and knowledge repositories.
Learning & Professional Development
- Gain practical exposure to qualitative research methodologies and customer experience best practices.
- Receive regular coaching and feedback throughout the Rookie Program.
- Maintain learning reflections and document key takeaways.
- Support additional initiatives that contribute to your learning objectives.
Requirements
Must Haves
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Open to completing GoTyme's 5-month Rookie Program, either as a school-required internship or a voluntary internship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Curious about customer behavior and passionate about understanding people.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Haves
- Exposure to qualitative research through coursework or academic projects.
- Experience conducting interviews, focus groups, or user research.
- Familiarity with thematic analysis.
- Leadership experience through student organizations or volunteer work.
