About The Role
As a Council Space Planner & Analyst, you'll support network expansion, fleet placement, and operational performance through strategic space identification, location optimisation, and business reporting. You'll evaluate parking opportunities, assess utilisation trends, prepare council applications, and deliver insights that drive efficiency and revenue. The role blends analytical capability, operational planning, and cross-functional coordination — best suited to someone who moves between data, maps, and stakeholders with equal confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Network Planning & Space Optimisation
- Identify and evaluate potential parking locations to support network growth and customer accessibility
- Conduct optimisation reviews to improve vehicle placement and utilisation performance
- Assess demand, revenue potential, operational feasibility, and location suitability
- Monitor fleet allocation and recommend improvements based on utilisation data
- Support strategic expansion initiatives through evidence-based recommendations
- Conduct detailed assessments of proposed parking spaces and expansion opportunities
- Evaluate location viability based on operational, commercial, and customer factors
- Support network expansion planning activities and maintain assessment records
- Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate expansion initiatives
- Prepare council applications and supporting documentation for parking locations and operational requirements
- Maintain application trackers and status updates
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather required information
- Monitor submission progress and approval timelines
- Ensure documentation complies with council requirements and standards
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational, utilisation, and network performance reports
- Analyse trends, performance indicators, and operational data
- Develop insights and recommendations to support business decision-making
- Maintain reporting tools, trackers, and dashboards
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of business reporting outputs
- Collaborate with Operations, Growth, Fleet, and Customer Experience teams to support business objectives
- Participate in meetings and planning activities related to network growth and operational performance
- Support resolution of operational issues impacting network utilisation or location performance
- Coordinate activities across stakeholders to ensure effective execution of initiatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement across operational processes
- Maintain baseline AI literacy and use approved AI tools responsibly, in line with company policies, data privacy, information security, and client confidentiality obligations
- Apply sound judgment by validating outputs and avoiding overreliance, ensuring accuracy and accountability in all work delivered
- Participate in AI readiness trainings and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement through automation and responsible AI integration
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Economics, Geography, Urban Planning, or a related field
- Experience in business analysis, operational planning, fleet optimisation, network planning, reporting, or data analysis roles
- Data Analytics, Business Analysis, GIS, Excel, or Operations-related certifications are advantageous
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, reporting tools, business dashboards, mapping tools, and data analysis platforms
- Basic understanding of council application processes, parking regulations, and operational compliance requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
