Job Summary

A company is the Loss Prevention affiliate of the Clipper Retail Group. Job Purpose

  • Support and improve ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Manage product compliance (CE/UKCA, materials, regulations)
  • Help maintain and improve Health & Safety practices
  • Drive and track our sustainability (ESG) program
  • Keep company procedures, SOPs, and compliance records accurate and up to date
  • Identify issues, fix them, and improve how we work.
  • Collaboration with our sales team during the tender process.

This role requires someone proactive, organised, and hands-on, able to work independently and take ownership of tasks. The focus is on delivering real improvements and results, not just administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and overall compliance framework, ensuring systems are structured, up to date, and audit-ready
  • Support ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) through coordination, documentation, and monitoring of ongoing regulatory and legislative compliance
  • Support product and material compliance activities (e.g. CE/UKCA, REACH, ROHS) and environmental requirements (e.g. WEEE, EPR, packaging data), including data collection and validation with internal teams and suppliers
  • Support Health & Safety and Environmental systems by maintaining documentation, tracking actions, and coordinating with Operations and relevant stakeholders
  • Help track and report on the sustainability (ESG) programme, including customer and supplier requirements (e.g. EcoVadis, SEDEX), ensuring accurate and timely data collection
  • Plan and coordinate internal and external audits (including suppliers and 3PLs), prepare documentation, and track follow-up actions with internal owners
  • Maintain accurate compliance records, registers, SOPs, and document control systems, ensuring consistency and accessibility
  • Work cross-functionally with Procurement and other teams to support accurate product and compliance data, providing structure and follow-up where needed
  • Coordinate product testing, supplier audits, and other operational compliance activities, ensuring outputs are properly documented and aligned with requirements
  • Support during the tender process, to answer compliance, conformity, environment and health and safety questions
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, identify gaps, propose improvements, and support internal stakeholders in implementing structured solutions
  • Cooperation with the quality role when required, to support admin tasks or report uploads.

Requirements

Knowledge, qualifications and experience

  • Relevant experience in compliance, conformity, or a related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Previous experience supporting or maintaining ISO management systems is highly desirable
  • ISO 9001 certification (or similar) would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety and environmental management systems
  • Understanding of process documentation, SOPs, and document control principles
  • Exposure to product and material compliance (e.g. CE/UKCA, REACH, RoHS) is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong data handling and organisational skills, with close attention to detail
  • Understanding of effective process documentation and structured data management
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a remote or international environment is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate tasks and follow up with stakeholders remotely
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
