Cleaner Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.
- Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
- Scrubbing and sanitizing toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
- Emptying trash cans.
- Washing and drying windows.
- Liaising with the line manager to ensure that you have sufficient cleaning products at all times.
- Reporting any breakages that occur during the cleaning process.
- Informing the line manager of repairs that need to be done.
- High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Able to use a variety of cleaning products and equipment.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Able to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
- Available to work mornings and evenings, plus weekends, as needed.
Essential Job Functions
- Clean and supply designated facility areas
- Perform various cleaning actions such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.
- Perform and track routine inspections
- Perform and track maintenance activities
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
- Maintain cleaning equipment and communicate any potential issues to Management
- Identify cleaning supplies and notify Management when running low
- Empty garbage and keep garbage areas clean and covered
- Effectively communicate to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- Communicate effectively and courteously with co-workers
- Other duties will be assigned as needed
- Meet personal schedule requirements punctually
- Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- Work in a confined space with variable noise and temperature levels
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Promote an atmosphere of teamwork by assisting co-workers
- Be courteous, friendly, and pleasant
- Accept constructive criticism and adjust/change behavior based on this feedback
- Stand and walk for an entire shift
- Safely move about in all areas of the restaurant
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, lift, carry, pour and wipe
