WTW is looking for a Business Analyst 1 (BA1) to support the delivery of benefits administration services for global clients. In this role, you will build foundational expertise in client plan design, system functionality, and operational processes, while ensuring accurate data processing, comprehensive documentation, and timely resolution of client and vendor inquiries. Key Responsibilities
Client & Operational Delivery
- Support day-to-day benefits administration activities, including case resolution and data updates (e.g., employee, elections, dependents)
- Own annual enrollment (AE) activities: documentation updates, plan year procedure management, and vendor coordination
- Maintain and update processing documentation, calendars, and procedures
- Manage and monitor case volumes, trends, and process updates; communicate insights to stakeholders
- Respond to client and internal queries in a timely and accurate manner
Systems & Data Management
- Utilize systems and tools to process and validate data
- Perform basic data queries (SQL/Excel) and ensure accuracy of outputs
- Support data transmission setup and coordination with vendors and interfaces (HRIS, payroll, etc.)
Documentation & Process Excellence
- Follow standard operating procedures aligned with best practices
- Understand and meet established service level agreements (SLA) and managing SLA reporting for assigned clients
- Contribute to process improvements, automation, and root cause analysis Collaboration & Team Support
- Work closely with Business Systems Analysts (BSA), service center teams, and global stakeholders
- Provide training and guidance on client-specific processes when needed
- Support onboarding, transitions, and knowledge transfer activities
- Provide backup support to BSA as required
Qualifications
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in healthcare, pension, or benefits administration
- Proven experience in case management, research, and handling escalations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders professionally
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively, including planning, tracking progress, and supporting task coordination
- Demonstrates flexibility, accountability, and ability to deliver multiple projects with quality and excellence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); knowledge of SQL is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
