AutoCAD Architectural Drafter

Work Set-Up: First 2-weeks you are required to work onsite for onboarding/training before transitioning to fully remote.

Employment Type: Project-based employment that would last for 6 months with the possibility of extension or conversion to fulltime depending on business needs.

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented AutoCAD Architectural Draftsperson to join our growing team supporting US-based architectural clients. The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare accurate and complete architectural construction documents using AutoCAD, with a strong focus on retail Tenant Improvement (TI) projects and Design Development (DD) drawing sets.

The successful candidate will support projects for clients with highly specific CAD production standards, requiring exceptional attention to detail, consistency, and adherence to established drafting practices. Since clients may directly review and work within the CAD files, maintaining organized, high-quality drawings and proper file management is essential.

While AutoCAD is the primary software used, candidates should also have working knowledge of Autodesk Revit to support project transitions and assist with Revit-based projects when required.

This is a night shift position following US business hours. Applicants must be willing to work on a schedule aligned with our US clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare complete architectural construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Produce Design Development (DD), permit, tender, and construction drawing sets for retail Tenant Improvement (TI) and commercial projects.
• Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and sheet layouts.
• Follow client-specific CAD standards, drawing conventions, layering systems, file organization, and documentation requirements.
• Ensure CAD files are well-organized, accurate, and production-ready, as clients may directly access and review working files.
• Revise drawings based on client markups and design coordination comments.
• Coordinate with architects, project managers, and other team members to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain company CAD standards and project documentation.
• Deliver accurate, organized, and timely project deliverables while meeting quality standards.
• Utilize Revit when required to support project transitions or assist on Revit-based projects.
• Communicate effectively with US-based clients and internal project teams.
• Perform other drafting and documentation tasks as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• At least 4-5 years of experience in architectural drafting using AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with a strong understanding of architectural construction documentation.
• Experience preparing Design Development (DD), Tenant Improvement (TI), permit, or construction document sets is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently follow established CAD standards and client-specific drafting requirements.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and the ability to navigate and modify Revit models when required.
• Experience in retail or commercial projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with US architectural drafting standards is an advantage.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote teams.
• Willing to work night shifts following US and Canada time zones.
