Associate Solutions Architect, AWS PH

We're looking for an Associate Solutions Architect to join our Philippines team. You'll work directly with customer teams to build prototypes, proofs of concept, and technical solutions across cloud adoption, modernization, and AI. This is an early-career role for someone with a few years of hands-on technical experience who is passionate about building, learning, and growing. You'll operate independently on customer engagements while collaborating with senior architects and account teams when the opportunity calls for it.

Whether it's spinning up a prototype with GenAI, containerizing an application, or hacking together a demo to show a customer what's possible, you bring curiosity and a willingness to experiment. You're comfortable writing code, iterating fast, and collaborating with others to get to the best solution.

Key job responsibilities

• Work with customer teams to design and build cloud solutions across migrations, modernization, and new workloads, collaborating with senior architects and specialists as needed
• Build prototypes, proofs of concept, and demos, often at short notice, to help customers visualize and validate solutions
• Assess customer applications and databases, document current state, and propose modernization approaches
• Help customers execute cloud migrations, working to move workloads efficiently and securely
• Experiment with AI and emerging technologies, build working examples, and help customers understand how these tools can solve their challenges
• Proactively identify opportunities to add value for customers and drive them forward with the broader account team
• Adapt quickly as priorities shift, supporting multiple customers and initiatives as the team needs evolve
• Contribute to the team's knowledge-sharing culture by building technical communities, writing content, running demos, and collaborating openly with peers

A day in the life
Your morning might start mapping out a migration approach for a customer, then jumping on a call to align with their engineering team. By afternoon, you're heads-down building a proof of concept, writing code to show how a modernized application could work on AWS. The next day might look completely different: experimenting with a new AI service to prototype a solution for a customer challenge, or running a technical demo.
Some days you'll pair with a senior architect on a complex design problem; other days you'll own the engagement end to end. The work is varied, fast-paced, and gives you exposure to real enterprise problems across industries. You'll have experienced colleagues to learn from, but you won't be waiting for permission to build.

About the team
You'll be part of the AWS Philippines Solutions Architecture team, based in our Manila (BGC in Taguig) office. We work with enterprise customers across industries, helping them adopt cloud, modernize their technology, and build with AI. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience working with cloud technologies (any major cloud platform)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, Go)
• 2-3 years of experience in IT development, implementation, or consulting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience building with GenAI tools or services (e.g., integrating LLMs, building AI-powered applications, experimenting with agentic AI)
• AWS Certification (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate)
• A portfolio of projects, hackathon entries, open-source contributions, or community involvement that demonstrates a passion for building
