Role Purpose
The Advanced Associate – Recruiter supports the delivery of recruitment activity for Pearson’s Associate workforce, primarily through high-volume application processing, data management, and onboarding coordination .
The role is highly process-driven , requiring strong attention to detail, excellent Excel capability, and the ability to manage large volumes of data accurately to support assessment delivery timelines.
Key Accountabilities 1. Application Processing & Recruitment Delivery

Manage high volumes of applications across multiple recruitment campaigns

Review, process, and progress applications in line with defined criteria and timelines
-
Maintain accurate tracking of candidates through each stage of the recruitment process
-
Support recruitment delivery during peak assessment periods
2. Candidate Screening (Criteria-Based)
-
Screen applications against predefined eligibility requirements (e.g. qualifications, subject experience, teaching background)

Apply consistent decision-making using standard frameworks and guidance
-
Identify incomplete or incorrect applications and take appropriate action
3. Data Management & Reporting (Excel Focus)
-
Maintain and update recruitment trackers, ensuring high levels of accuracy
-
Use Excel to manage large datasets, track progress, and identify gaps
-
Support reporting on recruitment progress, volumes, and completion rates
-
Highlight data inconsistencies, risks, or delays to the Recruitment Manager
4. Onboarding & Administration

Coordinate onboarding processes including documentation checks and system updates
-
Ensure candidates complete required onboarding steps within deadlines
-
Maintain accurate and audit-ready records across all recruitment systems

Support bulk updates and system uploads where required
5. Stakeholder Engagement (Structured)

Liaise with Assessment teams to:

Confirm vacancy requirements

Validate candidate suitability where needed

Support interview and selection stages
-
Organise and support senior interview processes, including scheduling and logistics

Provide clear, structured updates on recruitment progress
6. Candidate Communication (Limited Interaction)

Manage candidate communications primarily through templated or process-driven channels
-
Respond to basic queries where required, escalating more complex issues
-
Ensure communications are clear, professional, and aligned to timelines
7. Process Adherence & Continuous Improvement

Follow established recruitment and onboarding processes consistently

Identify inefficiencies or errors in processes and suggest improvements
-
Support standardisation of ways of working across the team
Skills & Experience Essential

Experience in high-volume administration, recruitment, or operational processing roles
-
Strong Excel skills (data handling, tracking, validation, reporting)
-
High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organisational and time management skills

Clear and professional written communication

Experience working with large datasets or recruitment systems

Experience in education or assessment environments
