As a member of the Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) team, you stand at the intersection of a technology movement shaping our Operations Division. In this role, the SCO Systems Analyst, will develop, test, and maintain applications for our industry-leading operations environment. This will include the areas such as material resource planning, capacity planning, inventory planning, distribution requirements planning, and production scheduling

The SCO Systems Analyst will work closely and collaboratively with our operations business partners to build useful systems that help drive results and achieve business goals. You will have the responsibilities of identifying business requirements and preparing appropriate documentation and tutorials

Ideally, you will be intelligent, curious, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and organized. You will also be coachable, but willing to share your opinions. The position will be at Shaw’s corporate headquarters located in Dalton, GA but is eligible for remote working three days a week after a training period

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possesses Information Technology, Operations Research degree or business-related two or four-year college degree, or a minimum of five years of experience in a medium to large scale Information Services environment

  • Must have a problem-solver mindset who likes to solve difficult puzzles

  • Possesses a strong working knowledge of at least two of the following Database environments:

    • Oracle

    • SQL Server

    • Sybase

    • DB2

  • Possesses a working knowledge of at least two of the following programming languages:

    • C#

    • Python

    • ANSI SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS Certification

  • Object-oriented development experience

  • Understanding of structured software methodology

  • Understand and apply traditional system life cycle and rapid application development methodologies as applicable to the development needs of particular projects

  • Experience developing applications based on client/server technology

Work Shift

8 hour, day shift
