The largest medical facility in the region, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) includes a full-service hospital with 318 patient beds. It serves as the region's healthcare hub, serving southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park and parts of Montana. EIRMC is home to a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (of only two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. Our ER is the most experienced in the region. The hospital's other specialty services include the region's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit capable of caring for babies born as early as 22 weeks gestation; the region's only Pediatric Intensive Unit, the largest heart program in the region, a Behavioral Health Center which is a74-bed Joint Commission accredited psychiatric hospital and the region's only Primary Stroke Center.

Schedule Info: Work schedules are days


PRN Defined: Work minimum of one shift per two week pay period to assist with staffing for coverage of absences for staff planned/unplanned and/or increase in census. The more you are available the more you can work if shifts are available.


Responsibilities:



  • The Medical Imaging RN performs and demonstrates proficiency in providing quality patient care during the peri-procedure stay including assessment of safety, comfort, physiological and psychological needs.
  • Works closely with Radiologists, technologist staff, ancillary departments and physicians as care is planned and coordinated.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS:


Requires an RN from an accredited school of nursing with 1 year of hospital clinical experience.


Critical Care or ED background preferred.


Current Idaho license or Compact State RN required.


Must maintain AHA or ARC BLS certification and yearly hospital mandatories and


ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire.


Certification in Radiological Nursing encouraged.


Must have excellent communication, people skills, and ability to have empathy. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary as the incumbent interacts frequently with the department staff members, department managers, medical staff, other hospital personnel, other health-related professionals and the public. Must have maturity, sensitivity and the ability to take direction in stressful situations while remaining calm. Extreme accuracy, meticulous attention to details and proficiency in performing procedures and making judgments are vital as errors in job performance may have significant impact on patient care. Must have a willingness to learn and critical thinking skills. Must be flexible and self-motivated. Must possess high degree of professionalism in demeanor.
