Job Description



We are building a sales team of star team players that kill individual goals. The team will consist of hungry high achievers that are self-motivated and exceed expectations. As a business development representative, you will be the “tip-of-the-spear” initiating new relationships via email, outbound calling, connecting with inbound leads and reaching out to channel relationships.

Responsibilities



  • Help create and commit to a go-to-market prospecting plan for digital commerce, marketing, marketplace, and UX services in coordination with Marketing and other Sales Team Members
  • Create and execute tactical outreach plans via email, phone calls and social media (LinkedIn)
  • Closely follow McFadyen marketing activities and leads to follow up with participants
  • Follow up with inbound leads and qualify opportunities into Sales Qualified Leads
  • Manage and maintain accounts and contacts in CRM
  • Pitch our professional services, which include digital strategy, ecommerce, marketplace solutions, experience design, platform implementation, application development, and support
  • Reach out to channel sales reps, foster positive relationships, and help keep our field reps connected
  • Support our marketing team’s efforts to create compelling sales collateral and campaigns
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Achieve agreed upon targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Follow sales processes and track activities in CRM
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback 
  • Consume, absorb, and apply training, assigned reading, and coaching

 


 


 



Qualifications



 



  • Proven work experience as a business development rep (BDR) (Inside Sales)
  • Track record of exceeding goals
  • Familiarity with CRM practices and keeping a detailed activity log that will be used to inform the next stages of the pipeline
  • Ability to manage contact lists in CRM
  • Ability to build productive business/professional relationships
  • Ability to write persuasive email subject lines and emails
  • Ability to create persuasive call scripts
  • Ability to gain access to prospective companies and connect with internal decision makers
  • Ability to address objections, analyze your responses, and find optimal, more effective ways of addressing objections
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Relationship management skills
  • Openness to feedback and coaching
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms like Oracle Commerce / ATG / Endeca, Magento Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud / Demandware, SAP Hybris, IBM WebSphere Commerce, Mirakl, etc. a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
