The Tax Supervisor will mainly be responsible for for the tax compliance activities within the Tax Team and assisting the Tax Manager and Tax Director in system-wide tax planning, research and compliance. This position will also monitor Tax Filing Deadlines and filing appropriate extensions as necessary, reviews, analyzes and responds to tax notices. Lastly, this position interacts with several groups throughout the organization such as the Accounting and Corporate Finance Team

Responsibilities
* Prepare complex tax returns, particularly large consolidated corporate income tax returns and multi-state returns for C Corporations, S Corporations and partnerships
* Preparing high net worth individual returns
* Work closely with tax associate on all phases of project and engagement management for multiple clients
* Review simple tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities
* Supervise, train, and mentor tax associates on tax projects and assess performance of staff.
* Maintain primary contact with clients throughout the year; possess a thorough knowledge of the client and all facets of client's business
* Participate in other tax administrative filings such as preparation of annual state reports, business renewal, state registrations, property tax and other administrative filings.
* Participate in meetings and conference calls with the team and clients
* Participate in other ad hoc tasks, as applicable
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
* Preferably with at least 3 years of US tax preparation experience
* Experience in using tax preparation software and applications such as CCH Axcess, CCH Prosystem, Drake, Ultratax and other US tax-related software is a big plus.
* CPA, Enrolled Agent, and other certifications are not required but a plus
* Excellent interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail, strong critical thinking and leadership skills
* Knowledge of various software programs such as Word, Excel and Adobe
* Excellent technical and research skills
