Job Title: Project Manager

Reports to: Actuarial Manager

Primary Job Responsibility

Overall responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the project while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments and goals of the organization.

Leads the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of projects. Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.

Job Description

  • Monitoring and updating of Actuarial Division project plan and the progress in the project management system.
  • Facilitation of daily stand-up meetings (project team) and track progress and address any issues.
  • Facilitation of sprint lessons learned sessions
  • Creation and monitoring of post mortem report
  • Updating and monitoring of Risk Plan, Issue Log, Comms Plan and Cost Tracker
  • Tracking of daily deliverables
  • Monitor and report project progress to executing sponsor and product owner
  • Identify and resolve any minor project-related issues or roadblocks promptly
  • Respond to emails and other communications from stakeholders to keep them informed and address their concerns.
  • Conduct weekly project team meetings to review progress, plan for the coming week, and address any ongoing issues.
  • Review and adjust resource allocation to ensure optimal productivity and address any resource constraints.
  • Review and ensure the achievement of monthly project milestones and deliverables.
  • Conduct a detailed review of the Actuarial project budget, tracking expenditures and forecasting future costs.
  • Conduct Actuarial monthly meetings with key stakeholders to review project progress, discuss issues, and plan future activities and provide detailed updates and gather feedback.
  • Perform a monthly quality check on project deliverables to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Conduct a comprehensive review and evaluation of project progress against objectives, scope, and timeline.
  • Revisit and adjust the Actuarial project plan and strategies based on quarterly performance and changing conditions.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for Actuarial project team members, providing feedback and setting goals for the next year.
  • Develop the annual project budget, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals and project requirements.
  • Ensure the project remains aligned with the overall strategic goals of the organization, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Conduct a comprehensive annual project retrospective to identify lessons learned and best practices for future projects.

MINIMUM Educational Level And Background Required By This POSITION

With Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other equivalent related courses

  • With at least three (3) years work experience in Project Management (Waterfall and Agile)
  • With experience in Quality Management
  • Project management certification is an advantage - e.g. PMP, CAPM, PRINCE
  • EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

PERIOD OF TIME OR LENGTH of related experience the CANDIDATE must acquire before being assigned to and perform the functions of this job, SATISFACTORILY under NORMAL supervision: 3 years and up

  • SKILLS REQUIREMENT
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a collaborative team
  • Must have ability to work independently with limited management direction
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and spoken, business communications are in English Language
  • Must be able to perform independent assessment and make sound recommendation across Mainframe technical domain
  • Ability to communicate with and present to Senior Management and Executives Team
  • Must be proficient with PPM, and be able to use agile collaboration tools such as ADO & Confluence
  • Ability to build relationships with and influence other functional areas.
  • Must have experience in working in environments where scheduling is critical
