Responsibilities:

• Development and Maintenance: Assist in the development and upkeep of the company's Master Estimate Model Portfolio to facilitate the creation of precise BOQs and Comprehensive Orders Books.
• BOQ Preparation: Generate accurate BOQs, raise purchase orders for site-specific projects, and make necessary amendments to orders as required. Process Building Variations (BVs) efficiently.
• Supplier Engagement: Request and obtain quotes from suppliers as needed, contributing to the procurement process.
• Stakeholder Support: Provide support to both internal and external stakeholders during the construction phase, including monitoring the Estimating Inbox, managing the Estimating phone 'Bat Phone,' and organizing Preliminary Orders upon Sales Process completion.
• ETS Requests: Process Engineering Technical Services (ETS) requests as they are assigned to you.
• Documentation Consistency: Ensure consistency between plans, relevant documentation, and purchase orders. Identify and address variances to prevent errors, communicating these discrepancies to management and staff for continuous improvement.
• Supplier and Contractor Relationships: Collaborate with the EM to establish and nurture relationships with suppliers and contractors, ensuring material and labor quality standards are maintained. Assist with various purchasing functions.
• Quality Checks: Complete final BOQ self-check/comparison and margin checks to maintain accuracy.
• Professional Collaboration: When necessary, liaise with professionals, including Suppliers, Contractors, Engineers, and Certifiers.
• Customer Service: Work cohesively with colleagues to ensure the delivery of best-practice customer service through the provision of services and information.
• Margin Variance Reporting: Report to the Estimating Manager on job margin variances greater than 1.99% from Tender Accepted to BOQ completion.
• Additional Duties: Attend to any other duties that may be reasonably required within your capacity from time to time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Previous experience in residential construction estimating or procurement.
• Knowledge of Australian standards is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
