- Patient Communication: Manage inbound and outbound calls, emails, and messages related to patient scheduling, appointment reminders, and follow-ups.
- Medical Records Management: Assist in the organization, updating, and secure handling of electronic health records (EHR).
- Administrative Tasks: Handle data entry, maintain appointment calendars, and coordinate patient care between different providers.
- Clinical Support: Provide assistance in preparing patient charts, collecting and summarizing patient information for physicians, and ability to do proper patient assessment and triage.
- Billing and Insurance: Support billing processes, insurance verification, and processing claims, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Research and Reporting: Conduct research on medical topics as needed and compile reports for healthcare professionals.
- Extensive experience in a clinical or medical administrative role.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant, Registered Nurse, or similar credential.
- Knowledge in Medical Cannabis utilization
- Familiarity with medical coding practices and terminology (e.g., CPT, ICD-10).
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and medical software.
- Familiarity with telehealth practices.
- Knowledge of common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards.
- High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
