Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies:
    • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that HR policies comply with relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems:
    • Contribute to the development of HR goals and metrics.
    • Generate queries and standard reports to meet ongoing company requirements.
  • Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs:
    • Play a key role in managing employee benefits and compensation programs.
    • Assist in conducting performance evaluations and feedback processes.
  • Ensure legal compliance with HR regulations:
    • Stay updated on HR state and federal regulations and employment laws.
    • Modify and update policies and procedures as needed to ensure legal compliance.
  • New hire onboarding and orientation:
    • Coordinate and facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new hires.
    • Collaborate with various departments to provide an exceptional first-day experience.
  • Administrative tasks:
    • Handle administrative tasks related to onboarding, orientation, and exit interviews.
    • Accurately enter data into HR information systems and ensure compliance.
  • Employee advisory services:
    • Provide HR advisory support to employees regarding absence, health issues, conduct, grievances, and organizational changes.
    • Address employee relations matters effectively.
  • Payroll processing:
    • Serve as the primary backup for payroll processing, including employee file updates, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay tracking, and benefit changes.
  • Policy communication and development:
    • Assist in communicating, interpreting, and maintaining the employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart.
    • Contribute to the development of HR policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
  • Proven experience in HR operations
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
