Universal Robots is forming a new team at its Cebu, Philippines site. This new team will have a critical role – ensuring the best customer experience throughout the automation journey. We are currently searching for an Applications Support Engineer. In this role you’ll be working closely with UR’s service and engineering teams to ensure the best possible automation journey for our customers.

We are currently searching for an Applications Support Engineer. In this role you’ll be working closely with UR’s service and engineering teams to ensure the best possible automation journey for our customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide remote applications support for UR customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Quickly learn how to program, operate, and troubleshoot URs products, through a combination of training courses and self-training.
- Communicate frequently with new and existing customers to check on progress, success, and difficulties along the automation journey.
- Prepare technical reports.
- Work collaboratively and efficiently with internal and external team members.
- Coordinate internal and external resources and schedules.
- Provide support for back-office tasks as needed.
- A strong drive to create the best customer experience.
- Cobot and/or robot experience (programming, operation, troubleshooting, etc.).
- Ability to independently research topics to find solutions to customer challenges.
- Substantial English language technical writing and editing experience.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- General understanding of manufacturing environments. For example, manufacturing processes, types of equipment, common metrics, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with cobots from Universal robots.
- Experience integrating cobots/robots with other equipment (controllers, machines, etc.).
- Coding experience (Python or other).
- 3D modeling/CAD experience.
- Manufacturing automation experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
