Job Description

What we’re after…

Essential:

  • Strong operational experience in a quality assurance role within a regulated payment or financial institution entity

  • Working knowledge and understanding of payments, foreign and/or regulatory compliance

  • Excellent organizational skills, and both written and oral communication skills

  • Granular attention to detail, with a strong ability to think laterally and problem solve

  • Excellent self-starter, motivated individual who is also a strong team player

  • Works well under pressure

  • Skilled at assessing, analyzing and presenting management information

Preferred:

  • A relevant graduate degree or equivalent professional qualification/s (ICA AML, Compliance and/or relevant compliance Diploma)

  • Understanding of IT systems, operational and/or product development payment processes, especially in e-Commerce environments for retail and/or corporate payments

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What we expect of you, day to day.

The role of the Regulatory Compliance Quality Assurance Specialist is to work with the Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure the application of controls within the compliance function are being performed with consistent rationales and justified analysis by those completing the task.

Assist in the maintenance and improvement of relevant policy and procedure documentation relating to the role
Undertake quality assurance checks on internal performance across multiple frameworks ensuring consistencies across the function and feeding back to the Regulatory Compliance Senior Manager
Maintain strong record keeping documentation around testing, changes and rationales.
Assist in analyzing monthly MI to establish gaps, develop remediation actions and challenge the effectiveness of current processes and procedures.
Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality
Assist in identifying any risks or gaps within the quality assurance framework and checks
Assist in engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including other functions and departments, FIUs, law enforcement and regulators when applicable
Identify and internally escalate actual or suspected financial crime incidents, in addition to identifying any other risks to the business
Keep up to date with compliance legislation and regulation, in particular, relevant money laundering and payment service regulations.
