The Accounting Officer is responsible for performing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the Company’s book of accounts. He / She directs and coordinates the daily activities of the accounting staff to accurately record the revenues, expenditures, assets and liabilities of company. The position requires a highly motivated self-starter with supervisory, review and proofing experience. The position is also responsible for preparing annual financial statements and coordinating the Company’s annual audit.


  • Oversees the daily accounting activities required to maintain the Company’s book of accounts
  • Supervises, directs and reviews the work of the accounting staff including, but not limited the following:

a) Preparation of project, segment and company financial statements

b) Recording of manual TB entries in the system

c) Leasing income and cost of rent schedules

d) Sales and cost of sales entries

e) Accrual of expenses

f) Cancellation/adjustment advice (AA) entries

g) DM/CM entries

h) Forfeiture income

i) Cash Surrender Value (CSV) entries

j) Collection entries

k) Reversal/adjustment on receivable SL/GL reconciliation

l) Contracts receivable SL/GL reconciliation

m) Customers Deposit SL/GL reconciliation

n) Bank reconciliation

o) Other audit schedules

  • Reviews general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting
  • Coordinates monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.


  • The candidate must be a graduate of bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with prior experience in a supervisory role
  • At least 5 years’ extensive experience, preferably in a real estate company
  • Experience in financial statements preparation and other financial reports
  • Knowledgeable in using computerized accounting system, preferably SAP
  • Advance knowledge in Excel and proficiency in MS applications
  • Ability to handle work pressure
  • Ability to deal effectively with internal and external personnel
  • Keen to details and has a good sense of responsibility
  • Pro-active, team player and result oriented
  • Willing to work beyond office hours when needed
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial information
