WFH SETUP but staff must be amenable to work at the office at least once or twice a month
Bookkeeping - Xero:
- Liaising with the Senior Accountant/Australian-based Senior Bookkeeper in relation to bookkeeping required.
- Ensuring every month, the Xero file of the clients in your portfolio are fully reconciled.
- Month end and Year end processing, reconciliations, and data entry of required journals.
- Review of balances of key General Ledger Accounts on a Quarterly or Monthly basis.
- Preparation of monthly or quarterly Business Activity Statements.
- Occasional processing of Payroll.
- Contacting the Senior Accountant in Charge of that client with any queries each month or as necessary.
- Liaising with Senior Accountant/Australian-based Senior Bookkeeper in requesting documentation needed form clients. Being comfortable, in due course, to directly liaise with clients.
- Proactively preparing the Xero file for year end.
- Championing and taking ownership in respect of the client file in your portfolio.
Client Administration:
- Prepare disclosure statements and client agreements for new clients.
- Ad hoc administrative tasks.
- Ensure that you and your team are providing the expected level of customer service satisfaction.
- This includes:
- 24-hour communication. Deal with the email or phone call request on the same day or advise the client when you will get back to them.
- If you have informed the client that you will get back to them by day X, ensure that you have either actioned by the promised date.
- If unable to meet the original target, discuss a new (realistic) deadline with the team member/client that suits their needs.
- Must have Xero software experience
- Must have 2 to 5 yrs Australian Accounting experience (Intermediate and Senior Accountant role)
- Experience working in an Australian-based bookkeeping / accounting firm is required
- Must have preparation of BAS (Business Activity Statement) experience
